Obtaining an Illinois real estate Broker License
  • Be at least 21 years old
  • Have graduated from high school or obtained the equivalent degree (GED)
  • Complete 90 hours of approved Pre-License education
  • Pass state licensing exam
  • Submit application to the Illinois Department of Professional Regulation
Broker Post License Education
  • 30 hours of approved Post License Education before first renewal
Renewing a Broker License Obtaining an Illinois Managing Broker License
  • Be at least 21 years old
  • Have graduated from high school or obtained the equivalent degree (GED)
  • Held an active Illinois Broker license for at least 2 years
  • Complete 45 hours of approved Pre-License education
  • Pass state licensing exam
  • Submit application to the Illinois Department of Professional Regulation
