Obtaining a real estate Broker Licence:

Post License Education

  •  During first renewal period:
    • 30 hour Advanced Practice Course
    • 30 hour Real Estate Law Course
    • 30 hours of Continuing Education (see below)

Obtaining a Washington Managing Broker License

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Hold a high school diploma or its equivalent
  • Complete 3 years full time salesperson experience in Washington or another state with equivalent requirements
  • Complete WREC approved pre-licensing course
    • 90 hours in a classroom/online including 30 hours of each of the following
      • Real Estate Law, Brokerage Management, Business Management, and an Elective course
    • Experience and hours must be completed within 5 years prior to applying for the broker examination
  • Pass the WREC examination
  • Apply to WREC for a broker’s license

Continuing Education

  • 30 hours of approved Continuing Education courses including Core
